Bill is a watercolor artist who is working on a continuing series he calls "The Lives of Watermen." Born in Baltimore, many of Bill's relatives including his father were watermen on the Chesapeake and Chincoteague Bays. Bill spent his summers with his grandparents in the hamlet of Greenbackville, Virginia. Every day was on the water fishing, crabbing, clamming, and oystering. It was in "Greenback" that he discovered a deep and continuing love for these small fishing communities, wooden boats, harbors, and crabbing.
Bill's art, which he desribes as enhanced realism, reflects his love of the water. He is the Director of the Bear Street Gallery where he maintains his studio. He also shows periodically at galleries in Laguna Beach, Newport Beach, and Huntington Beach. He has exhibited in the Art-A-Fair Festival in Laguna and shows yearly in the Fred Hall Fishing Tackle and Boat Show in Long Beach and the International Sportsmen Exposition in Phoenix.
Bill is also the inventor of the Mahl Bridge and Mahl Bridge Clamps - tools that were introduced to the art community in 2006. Both are now available worldwide. See www.MahlBridge.com.

"For as long as Eric can remember he has always had a desire to seek out and explore the natural world around him. Not simply for its inherent beauty, but also for its ability to act as a sanctuary of sorts… a place where he can momentarily free his mind from the confines of the man-made world. Time amongst the wild is an opportunity for him to reawaken that uninhibited child-like sense of wonder and better appreciate life’s hidden treasures. It is this particular relationship that man shares with nature that ultimately motivates Eric as both a person and an artist, and consequently inspires and shapes his style of photography. An engaging style that encourages the viewer to stop and ponder for a moment… to desire to have been present when the image was captured, wish to explore the location(s) for themselves or reflect fondly in regards to previous visits, and if anything simply reinforce their own connection with nature."

Candace Foster is a southern California painter who specializes in landscapes of the southwest. With a background in biology and classical art training, she brings a new sense of naturalism to her landscapes, as well as a sensitivity to light and mood. Appreciation of the natural world brings perspective to our own lives and replenishes our spirits. I try to bring a sense of the processes of nature as well as its mystery to my work. I am particularly inspired by the Southwestern landscape. Its austerity gives a sense of space and timelessness, and reveals the progression and rhythms of nature. Change, adaptation, the balance between order and disorder, between variation and conformity are all apparent in the landscape.
I think there are three things that direct an artist's work: what she already knows, what she sees afresh, and what her spirit tells her. I have studied biology and geology and this informs my paintings, but I am constantly observing and learning. I hope to bring to the viewer that feeling of connection with nature.
"It is my endless effort and drive to be able to not only reflect the outer images of Nature but also bring the sounds, the scents and the essence of its inner beauty to the canvas in detail."
